I’ve spent 3 weeks this time in Santa Clara, CA. That’s 5 weeks out of the last 6 weeks were spent down in Silicon Valley. I would have rather enjoyed my time being there if it wasn’t for my academic engagements; that now I’m worried I won’t have time to complete on time; due to this business trip.
One cool thing happened on my flight back; from San Francisco, CA to Vancouver, BC; while I was sitting there reading a book on the plane, I just happened to glance through the window (I was sitting on the right side of the plane), and I saw in the near distance, a natural structure that I recognized immediately: Crater Lake, OR. I’ve been to that lake a few months back, when I rode down to Silicon Valley on my motorcycle, in one of my business trips. Luckily, the seats next to me where empty, so I got up, went to my carry-on (stored on those top closets), and grabbed my camera, went back to my seat, and snapped a shot. Oh NO! The flash was on, and the lake is disappearing under the wing of the plane. I turned off the camera flash, and took another shot. Crap, most of the lake is covered by the airplane’s right wing. So, I got out of my seat, and rushed towards the back of the plane, where I found a couple of empty seats, and grabbed a couple more shots.
