From Vancouver, BC to Santa Clara, CA it’s ~1800Km. That could be covered on a weekend. On the first leg, I opted for going down the I5, then switching over to the 101. This would give a much more fun & scenic ride along the cost of Oregon. I plan to leave Vancouver, BC on Friday evening after work, just to get over the CAN-US border, so not to waste any time on border waits of the trip time on Saturday. Friday night, I would make a stop at Bellevue, WA. I have a couple of friends who happen to be there now, so I’ll crash in their hotel room. Also, starting the ride Friday evening, instead of Saturday morning, would allow me to cover some ground, which would allow for a much more relaxed rides on Saturday & Sunday. Saturday, I would ride from Bellevue, WA to Gold Beach, OR. Then, on Sunday, I would ride all the way to Santa Clara, CA.
I’ll remain in Santa Clara, CA for a week, then the following weekend I would ride back. Once there, I’ll figure out which roads to take back home.
